In the rowing Governing Body classification rowers are Veterans from age 32. Aggregate age of crews determines the class of event and allows a mixture of ages to form crews hence maintaining active participation in the sport.

Veteran rowing can be highly competitive or it may simply be enjoyed as a healthy, regular means of keeping fit among older rowing associates.

Veteran rowing at Star Club offers racing opportunities with full access to training facilities and competitive boats. Groups may form regular crews under the direction of the Veteran Captain or others may prefer to compete as single scullers.

Star Club traditionally enters crews in Heads over the Winter period and prepares for many Regatta events over the Summer leading up to Henley Veterans Regatta and later to the World Masters competition held at a range of attractive world wide locations.
